After years of reigning, King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) has died, leaving behind an intractable succession conflict that is being resolved with words and diplomacy. In the final chapter, Lucerys, the son of Rhaenyra Targaryen, is murdered by Aemond Targaryen (Elliot Grihault).
